Hey everyone, I've been receiving a lot of inquiries as to what you get with a donation to the site. First off, let me say that you shouldn't feel obliged to donate just to get a leg up in the game. The game can still be quite competitive and just as fun without any of the perks that you get as from buying credits to purchase VIP Status.

When you donate, you're not just getting a bunch of game/forum perks, you're solidifying your commitment and appreciation for the site that we've all come to love. I am proud that we have a community that is so strongly behind this game with currently over 60 donors. The funds that are collected go to hosting and other related costs with regards to the site.

Basically I've reworked the way becoming a VIP works, with the implementation of the BSE Game Credits. You can now purchase credits and then use those credits to purchase your VIP Status in the game, it will instantly change your RPG account into a VIP account, entitling you to the Per Minute Regen as well as the other perks. The Credits can be purchased through PayPal by clicking the "Premium" link at the top of the page when you log into the RPG.

The following is a list of perks that you'll get with VIP Status:

• VIP Forum Status - Special Donator Zone, and extra forum functionality, and a custom user tile! (in effect)
  
• Per Minute HP/Stamina/Spirit Energy Regen - Your HP/SE/Stamina will constantly be regenerating as each minute ticks by. (in effect)
  
• Increased Starting Stats - +10% to SP, +15% to HP, +150 Hollows Killed/Eaten! (in effect)
  
• In-Game VIP Status - Essentially you'll be treated to VIP discount pricing with regards to non-premium in-game items. (in effect)
  
• Noble Status - You will be acknowledged as someone of a Noble Bloodline lending itself to 'noble-only' training/items. (not yet in effect)
  
• Chimera Status - Essentially you are able to switch the "hidden race" attribute so that you can become any race. (in effect)
  

*Note: Donations are just that, donations. And as such are non-refundable.

The regain is how many per min. Is it some% or fix value for everyone?

I have donated but how to change my forum status ?

I could be wrong but I believe the per minute regen is fixed at 3% for all VIP.

As for changing your forum status, Isshin will change that himself when he has time to do so.

I'm seeing the per-minute regen, but I don't see Chimera status and increased stats from killing hollows after I bought VIP status.   Are those active?

Chimera means you don't have to pay for HRA changing items.

The increased stats happened immediately after you got the VIP, the boost in hollow kills is the boost regarding part of that.. not an increase when you kill hollows.

Technically yes. You'd get forum donor status. Not much else for in-game @ that rate.

Just made my character and I want to donate. (i'm a returning player who has donated before) so when I buy the VIP status in game, how do the boosted beginner stats work? Do I have to terminate, then remake or just PM you my account ID?

I haven't done any fighting, just the 3 out 4 training required to become a shinigami.

(just wondering cause the old way had to be done differently, didn't know if it has changed)

It's all automatic now, you buy credits, you use the credits to purchase the in-game VIP and you'll automatically start reaping the benefits.. As for forum status, if you donated before I can just give that to you.

Lol yeah server costs.. except for how it helps me live my lavish lifestyle of driving a 1997 Saturn, working 44 hours a week at a job I hate to live paycheck to paycheck, just to pay my bills and gas costs to get to work everyday.. My gold plated toilet and Bently are on back order.. Keep them donations coming


Seriously though, the upkeep of a site as big and resource intensive as this one isn't cheap. It all goes to the cost of keeping this site running. Some months we don't hit our goals so the amounts from other months offset it. In the end it all works out.

isshin not really sure where to put this question, but if your old account has been deleted, do you have to re purchase your donar status in the game, thought it might be like the forum. It wasn't from the last reset.

If an in-game account is deleted due to inactivity then yes the VIP status and anything associated with that account is lost. Thus you would need to repurchase. Come the next reset I may add a feature that will protect VIPs from deletion, depending on the amount of time since they last played. As of right now there is no coding in place to do that.
