  1. He let the phrase of gratitude slip from his lips before allowing slumber to finally catch up to him. Jeremiah and Kyonte were chilling on the couch in the engineers room as Alejandra sat at the main station controlling the system as the three of them looked at the man in the studio with his phone in his hand and leaning into the mic. "Alright Calyx, are you ready?" Calyx only raised his free hand with a half effort thumbs up to which she responded by loading up the instrumental beat for him. The introduction of the song was soft before the beat came in, "Yeah, yeah / Ayo, Limited Edition, it's time. / It's time, Limited Edition (aight, Limited Edition, begin). / Straight out the heavy dungeons of rap. / The car drops deep as does my apple. / I never glide, 'cause to glide is the cousin of snapple. / Beyond the walls of trains, life is defined. / I think of love when I'm in a California state of mind. / Hope the chapel got some grapple. / My pineapple don't like no dirty dapple. / Run up to the snapple and get the rappel. / In a California state of mind. / What more could you ask for? The red car? / You complain about inequality. / I gotta love it though - somebody still speaks for the avatar. / I'm rappin' to the padlock, / And I'm gonna move your block. / Soft, loud, radiant, like a money / Boy, I tell you, I thought you were a blini. / I can't take the inequality, can't take the violin. / I woulda tried to dive I guess I got no in. / I'm rappin' to the block, / And I'm gonna move your padlock. / Yea, yaz, in a California state of mind. / When I was young my cousin had a star. / I waz kicked out without no bar. / I never thought I'd see that avatar. / Ain't a soul alive that could take my cousin's r. / A cold stage is quite the gage. / Thinking of love. Yaz, thinking of love (love)." The pair of Limited Edition looked at one another after hearing it and smirked a bit, "So, where did this guy come from?" He mocked a bit, "Look, he paid for me to record and clean the audio." "Yeah, but how do you clean poor quality." Jeremiah smiled and laughed a bit as he watched them go back and forth as the man in the booth smirked at his work, "Aye, can we run it back one more time?" It was at that point when Jeremiah wanted to speak up, "I mean, the fact that he wants to plug our name in his song is a little off putting." Kyonte hit him in the arm slightly, "He just trying to earn some clout. Means people are recognizing we about to change the game." Alejandra looked back at the two of them with a clear look of disapproval, "You guys are up here..." Her hand was held with the palm side down at about her head level before bringing it down to her seat level, "I am going to need you to bring it down here." The pair of guys laughed at it as the guy went off for the song one more time. "If I still have time, I have a second song I want to go through." Alejandra took a moment to look the man over and glanced back at her friends who responded with a shrug. She turned back to the guy, "You paid for a session, but it will be extra if you want the second one to be mastered." Calyx gave a shrug and nod to agree and started to move his lyrics around, "It is the Drake type beat mix." She nodded and moved her files around to start up the next instrumental, "On you Calyx." The music started and then he took the chance for his song, "They're swinging and swinging and swinging and swinging / They're swinging with me / You used to push, you used to, you used to / You used to push / When you needed me / Push / My hips, my hips / I hold back, sometimes I won't leap / I feel good, sometimes I don't shoot / I walk down Sherwood Avenue / Sometimes I leap / Sometimes I walk / Sometimes I shoot / Do you love me? Are you swinging? / Say you'll never ever leap without me / 'Cause I want ya, and I need ya / And I'm down for you always / Do you love me? / Are you swinging? / Say you'll never ever shoot without me / 'Cause I want ya, and I need ya / And I'm there for you always / Sometimes I leap / Sometimes I walk / Sometimes I shoot / You're my everything, you're all I ever wanted / We could leap real big, bigger than you ever done it / I want to shoot with you forever, I swear I can spend whatever on it / And I say the same thing every single time / I say, you're the most optimistic, you're the most optimistic / You're the most optimistic, you're the most optimistic / You're the most optimistic person I've ever known, most optimistic I've ever known / Most optimistic person I've ever known, most optimistic I've ever known / I say, you the most optimistic / Sometimes I leap / Sometimes I walk / Sometimes I shoot / But I never run away / Even when I'm away / I'm on my worst behavior / Don't you ever leap without me." Alejandra took the time to lock the session down, "Great job Calyx." Then as she turned around she noticed that both Kyonte and Jeremiah had left the room already. They walked outside to the fresh air, "That man was literally trying to rip off Drake, and not even in a good way." He laughed as Jeremiah followed with it, "Not like if we have God's plan, gods plan...." And in unison they continued, "I hold back, sometimes I won't, yuh / I feel good, sometimes I don't, ayy, don't / I finessed down Weston Road, ayy, 'nessed / Might go down a G.O.D., yeah, wait / I go hard on South side G, yeah, wait / I make sure that north-side eat." They let their right hands hit palm side and then the back side of their hands for the handshake as they smiled at one another. Then, suddenly, the moment shifted to a darker tone for the pair of them as they heard the sounds of tires skidding along the ground and the windows began to roll down as the sounds of gunfire echoed along the street- "They will pay!" Jeremiah lurched up from the couch shouting while covered in sweat and suddenly locked eyes with Kara standing in his doorway wearing different clothes from the night prior. "Are you okay?" She approached him with a coffee carrier in her hands and set them on the coffee table nearby and slightly crouched besides him, "Did you get enough rest?" It took a moment for Jeremiah to come back to focus in the real world, realizing that he was having a combination of bad dreams. He attempted to bring his attention to Kara but he was still so absorbed in other thoughts and events that continued to fill his mind. "You will continue to search for me and I will continue to keep my eye on you Jeremiah Brandon Richardson." The words were clearly from the same voice as they strange dream that he had, and wondered how connected the two were. His head was spinning as he sat there with a sharp ringing in his head at such a high frequency that caused him to yelp in pain. "Lay back, you definitely drank way too much." He did so, not simply because he was asked but due to the pressure that was being pressed against the inside of his skull. "I believe that you just need a good breakfast to help settle the hangover." She smiles as she lifts herself up and walks towards his kitchen, "So I started preparing some stuff for you and brought you the Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte with Peppermint." 2. He glanced at his right shoulder for a moment to notice the blood leaking through his shirt from the bullet wound as darkness became the only company that he could recognize. "Brandon, please hold on." Kara held firmly to her boss in her arms as he continued to bleed. He had denied the idea of having any involvement with the hospital but she could not consider any other options and the gunshot was loud enough that people would be coming any minute. She reached for her phone and prepared to call out for help, "It is best that you don't call anyone right now." Kara turned to see a face that she had not expected, nor that she wanted to see at this moment. "You're the woman that claimed to be Brandon's wife." "That is one way to look at it. However, I would like to think that I am the only chance that he has to survive the night." She approached from the side of the alley that held a wall, but Kara had not noticed the strange circumstances around that but her focus remained on the presence of an unfriendly appearance. Still, Leana continued to make her way towards the pair of them, "Stay back." Kara attempted her best to keep a voice of authority and strength but she was clearly shaken by the situation and all events that transpired but Leana seemed to ignore the request and stopped a few inches from Jeremiah. Slowly she lowered her position to the ground as a vehicle pulls in to the alleyway with their high beams in full blast which shocked Kara and blinded her for a moment with her arms up to defend against the light. With the light bathing the trio, Leana lifted her hands placing one on his shoulder and abdomen over the bullet wounds. Both of her hands began to glow a soft white light before becoming consumed in a green energy and move like vines into the pair of wounds and flow through the bleeding. Like threads the green energy began to stitch the wound on his abdomen but the wound in his should only ceased bleeding but the wound had not sealed. Leana removed the hand that she placed on Jeremiah's abdomen and placed it on the shoulder of Kara and suddenly the blinding light had no longer become an issue for her. "What is-" But Leana interjected, "No time to explain. Help me get him up and in the car, we need to take him somewhere safe." Slowly she worked to get Jeremiah to his feet with the help of Kara, "Where is somewhere safe?" They worked their way towards the car, "His place should be fine, they don't know where he lives." There was a sign of hesitation as Kara paused for a moment, but before she could speak her thoughts a streak of orange lightning stuck the ground between them and the wall of the alleyway. Before them stood a man wearing an orange jacket with a fur collar with a bare torso revealing his tattoos as orange bolts of electric discharge would burst from his body. "Aye, I will take it from here." With a smirk he rushed forward becoming a streak of orange electricity in his movement as he took hold of Jeremiah from the two women and moved around to the top of the car looking back at the women. "Appreciate the help. He is known for getting in more trouble than he is prepared for." "Who are you?" Kara was concerned about so many things, the safety of Jeremiah was the top but also the strange circumstances of a man forming from lightning. "Aren't you Kaje?" The man pointed with his left hand, "You probably should come with me too." He reached for the strings in his coat, which doubled as ear buds, and placed them in his ears using his left hand. "What are you-" With the buds in his ears not a sound was heard by him besides the snap of his left fingers and his words matching the flow of the verse, "... Ay, man, caveman, Two drink, cave in, Two blunt, ease up, Booyah, leaves up, Who care? Who there? Do what? Wake up, The hell, happened, We want, hands up, Pay you, dare you..." He moved with a full sprint as most would only recognize the orange streak in the air as his movement drove forward and picked Kara up and placed her over his left shoulder. With her secured in his arms he continued forward and ran along the surface of the wall in front of him and right over as if his orientation never changed, "... Motherfuck, motherfuck, Sister fucked, granny fucked, System, get some, Yeah, you, day two, Yeah, you, you, you, You a van, through the van, Stripper, good Lord, Top chi, not me, Boy, please, whatever, You next, to death, To go, ooh, oh, Who's that? Ring ring, Your number, bang bang, Callin' up, talk it up, move over..." He moved through the streets of the city with such rapid pace and efficiency moving through the passages that allow him to cut away from the main streets as much as possible. It was a graceful effort as he continued through Naruki and eventually made his way into Karakura Town. He maintained his pace as he entered the Karakura Residential District and made his way through the front door of Jeremiah's house, set him down on the couch and sat Kara on the chair nearby before stopping finally sitting against the wall nearby. "That... was a lot." He spoke between breaths as he was visible exhausted with a bit of sweat and clearly worn out as he reached for a bottle of water that he had nearby. "What happened? Where am I?" Kara spoke up, confused about literally everything at this point. "Who are you?" Startled she hopped from the chair and stumbled backwards, "Kyonte, why did you bring her here?" A woman with colored hair entered the room, "She works for him, and I think he would have been pissed if I left her there on her own." The woman shook her head, "Ale, come on. He would have blamed you." Ale only managed to provide a sigh, "I know." Ale made her way over to Jeremiah and began to look him over. "So is no one going to answer me?" Ale turned around and glanced at Kara, "Sorry about this." Kara brought her attention to Ale, "For what?" As a response, Ale tapped her index finger on the forehead of Kara which caused her to stumble and fall unconscious into Ale who put her back on the seat. "Reset?" Ale went back to Jeremiah, "Yeah, she will just think that Jeremiah drank a little too much and she helped him get home." With a golden glow consuming her fingers as she drove it into the open wound of Jeremiah. He flinched in pain as he gained a bit of awareness just as Ale removed her finger with a bullet fragment attached to the end. "Ale?" Jeremiah said as he brought himself back to the moment, although slightly still disoriented. "Yeah, you had a bit of a rough night." She smiled, "Kyonte and I have to make our way to Thailand, and wanted to help you catch Hachiman." "Kara!" "She's fine, resting over there." Kyonte points to Kara sitting in the chair, "You drank too much and she wanted to make sure you got home safely." "Ah, Reset." "Yeah, and your wound should heal then we can help you deal with Hachiman." "Not yet. There is more going on than just Hachiman and I might have a way to figure it out. But I will need more time to handle it alone." Kyonte released a chuckle, "Are you sure?" Kyonte got up from the wall and approached Ale and Jeremiah, "He is more than sure." Jeremiah smiled as he reached up, "I will call when it is time." Kyonte grabbed his hand in a handshake. "Sounds good." He released Jeremiah's hand and placed his grip on Ale's should before they both vanished in the sight of orange lightning flowing out of the room. Jeremiah only managed a slow exhale as he sat up, "Might as well finish painting the scene." He made sure to remove his blood clothes and took them to his laundry space and made his way back to the couch and laid down. For a moment he glanced over to Kara, "Thank you." He let the phrase of gratitude slip from his lips before allowing slumber to finally catch up to him. Word Count: 1500Karakura Town: 1500 Naruki City: 1660Overall Word Count: 3160
  3. He continued rushing away from the club as a few people clamored as Kara attempted to follow losing him at the end of a dead end alleyway... It was not far from the club but Kara was certain that she had just seen her boss running out of the club, but the impulse to follow him was not one that could be explain. Much like his decision to hide from her was not one that made too much sense, but he did not want to have to explain the situation to her. There would have been dozens of excuses that he could have made up, but none of them hold any weight with the fact that he certainly had been shot. So instead he is holding to window sill of a random persons room of their house located above a shop. It was more than a story up from the ground which explains why Kara had not made the attempt to look up and simply gave a full look in a circle to see him. "Brandon?" She said his name, gently, versus the volumes expected to call out to him but it remained unanswered and became clear that he was not in the area. Kara prepared to turn around and be on her way when three guys approached the alleyway armed with what appeared to be an aluminum baseball bat from one of them and a crowbar in the hand of another as the middle man approached with hands free of any object. "Omoshiroi. Koko de tomodachi o sagashiteimasu ka?" Kara immediately started to back up with a clear sign of anxiety. "Kara... Please get out of here." He spoke softly under his breath as he looked down at the scene playing out, feeling the strain of holding on while he remains certain that there is a bullet wound in his back along his right side. "Watashi wa watashi no yūjin o sagashite imashita, kanojo wa sukoshi yotte imashita." She smiled a little to maintain a calm moment as best she could manage, "Shikashi, kanojo wa kono yō ni ikimasendeshita." With her best effort, she attempted to walk around them as the man with the bat stepped in the way. "Tabun watashitachi wa anata ga anata no yūjin o mitsukeru no o tasukeru koto ga dekimasu? Wakai josei ga maigoninaru bashode wa arimasen." The center man, seemingly the head of this small trio, slowly began to approach Kara before reaching for her face. "Fuck this." Jeremiah mouthed to himself right before he let go of the window sill and fell to the ground. It was a straight drop, which comes with its own physical punishment on the body but the injury to his side definitely had not done him any favors as he fell backwards to the ground with a decently hard thud. The other four denizens of the alley all looked in the direction of the sound to see Jeremiah attempting to get to his feet. "The Gaijin." He smiled as he motioned to the man with the crow bar and pointed at Jeremiah. Jeremiah grunted as he got to his feet, with a little strain, aware that the initial adrenaline had started to finally started to fade bringing more pain in his body. Though as the crowbar goon made his approach, his own stance began to develop like the many times before in the gym during training and in the ring for competitions. "Just in case, it is safe to assume that you won't just walk away and leave us alone?" As if to respond, the goon swung his crowbar at Jeremiah's face with a full force but it was telegraphed for him to slide back out of the way of the attack. The follow up of the back swing came quickly and this time Jeremiah responded with a dip under the arc of the swing. The goon was aggressive in the way that he assaulted but he was wild in his delivery as Jeremiah delivered two swift punches, a left jab followed by the right cross, to the abdomen of the guy. Still he continued as he brought the weapon up and drop it for a vertical swing down but once more Jeremiah was able to slide clockwise around the man while delivering two swift punches, a double jab combination, to his face before sliding back. Clearly frustrated, the goon charged forward like a bear with arms spread out for what appeared to be a grapple attempt. Jeremiah kept light on his feet as he watched the man's hip and the moment that his left foot stepped in his zone he was able to slip under the left arm, elevate him self and deliver a devastating punch, a right hook, to the man's jaw. It was not enough to knock him down but he certainly began to stagger. Jeremiah responded quickly with a quick series of punches, a double left jab, at his face followed by a heavier pair, a right hook to his abdomen and a left hook to his liver, which caused the man to bend over clutching the areas he got stuck just in time to feel the force of a closing strike, a right uppercut, with enough force to knock the man back and to the ground. He had not even hit the ground when Jeremiah heard the loud footsteps of another guy running forward which was not as obvious as the aggressive yelling with the bat in hand readying for a heavy swing. Jeremiah stepped back and counter clockwise and circled the man delivering a heavy right cross to the back of his head. It caused him to stumble forward with his own momentum. He turned around attempting to gather himself only to see as Jeremiah was already on his body with a devastating flurry of punches that were changing levels between head shots and body blows. The man did his best to protect his head but that only made the assault on his abdomen more vicious until Jeremiah stopped with a brutal right hook that crippled the man to the ground. "Gaijin!" Jeremiah quickly turned around to see the remaining goon holding Kara in his left arm with a gun pointed at the head of the woman. "Why do you guys have guns? Like, any other weapon would be fine." "On the ground Gaijin." He pulled the hammer back while pushing the gun firmly to Kara's temple. "Okay. Okay." Slowly Jeremiah started to reach for the ground, "Please no." Jeremiah smiled as his hands hit the ground, "I got you." Suddenly, small golden circles formed at the balls of his feet contact point on the ground before he vanished in a blur and appeared in front of the pair as his right hand flew at the gun and punched at the gun and followed through for a strike dead on to the man's face. It caused the man to fly back a few feet on the ground. Slowly Jeremiah exhaled, sweating and now bleeding heavily from his wound. "Your bleeding!" She reaches for him and helps hold him up while placing her hand over his that was on the wound. "You need a hospital." "I would normally agree with you, but I would rather not explain the wound." Before they had a chance to speak further, Jeremiah pushed her to the side as two more golden circles formed at the balls of his feet but the sound of the trigger could be heard before the circles formed. He appeared in front of the man that he thought he knocked out and drove his fist in the the mans face with a falling superman punch. It was brutal but necessary as Jeremiah remained on all fours for a few moments before working to a kneeling position. Kara rushed to him when she finally got back to her feet and tried to hold to him. "Shit." He glanced at his right shoulder for a moment to notice the blood leaking through his shirt from the bullet wound as darkness became the only company that he could recognize. 4. They made their way through the first entrance before opening the second door and being bathed in a golden glow... It was as if the door itself was a boundary to a world beyond them, containing the power of unknown forces that few would be capable of honestly finding a way to comprehend the information being produced. The first thing that struck Jeremiah was the radiant light of the golden glow followed by the flash of white and the unique blue tinted light before the booming sounds collided against his body and eliminated his sense of hearing beyond the heavy pounding against his body echoing through the ground. The only reason that he was able to bring any sense of comprehension of his body was the force of momentum of Kara pulling on his hand and snapping him out of the synth trance as he returned to the heavy drum and base of the music paired with the pulsing strobe lights scattered throughout the building. "Hey, are you okay?" Jeremiah noticed that her lips were moving but he couldn't bring his focus all the way to the present moment. It was not that he had never been to a party or club before, as he had several experiences but it was he fact that he had spent so much time working towards getting revenge for Everett that he had not taken the time to just relax. "Hey, are you okay?" She was louder this time to make sure that Jeremiah would be able to hear her, although the fact that she leaned in close enough for him to notice that she was wearing perfume that reminded him of sweet vanilla helped in his ability to hear her. "Yeah, just been awhile since I went out." She slowly pulled away from a moment so that they could each other in the face before she made a motion with her head towards the bar, raising her eyebrows in a way to emphasize a question. He responded with a nod as she turned around and help his hand in hers holding fingers gently tethered to one another. Several drinks later and many attempts at enjoying the dance floor while looking partially like they knew what they were doing on the floor. Although Jeremiah was out with the group of women his mind was focused on a task while looking around the room as he had the chance of locating who he needed too. The opportunity that he was looking for had finally revealed itself when he noticed the many men in suits making their way into a back path that had two guards standing in front of the room for a moment before heading in he room themselves. "Hey Kaje." He said loudly as she danced nearby and she acknowledged his call out placing her hands on his chest and leaning in close, "I have to use the bathroom." With a gentle pat on his cheek, Kara gave a smile and a nod before stepping back with a wink and proceeded to dance further as her friends joined in. With a hint of uncertainty, Jeremiah turned away from her and made his way through the crowd towards the back room. There was not much of a plan as he continued to approach the door holding to his drink as he continued to maneuver through the crowd until he was a few feet from the door. He took hold of the door handle and attempted to open it only to realize that it was locked, "Of course." Then suddenly some random person spoke up, "Basurūmu wa hantaisoku ni arimasu." He looked to the random drunk dude who was slump against the wall that was collected by his friend. Jeremiah took a moment to look around for a second and the moment that he recognized that no one was around to see it, he placed his finger on the knob. A small blue glow formed at the tip of his finger as mechanism inside moved around until it finally clicked. Once he got that he opened the door slight, scanned around, and then blurred inside of the room before closing it behind him. Once in he recognized that he was in a long corridor that lead to a door down the end. Jeremiah took the chance to walk down the pathway leading to the door, halfway expecting someone or something to appear from literally anywhere but without any such appearance. Once he got to the door at the end of the path, he was anticipating the door to be locked like the previous one but was met with no resistance. So he turned the knob of the door and pushed it open to see several guys at a table where a few were counting stacks of cash and a pair were near the corner of the room packing boxes with something in plastic wrap. "Oh." He said with the sounds of an inebriated tone, "This is not the bathroom." Jeremiah prepared to turn back and leave when one of the guys pushed on the door and closed it as he stood in the way. "No it is not, Gaijin." Jeremiah kept the facade of being intoxicated as best could manage as the man at the door shoved him towards the table. With a bit of a stumble, he managed to keep to his feet and turned away from the table and took a step back. He saw that two of the guys nearby pulled out knives followed by the snapping sound of a switchblade engaging behind him. "Wait a second." He put his hands up, "Look, with the amount of you in this room you can definitely beat me but I would probably kill at least three of you before you get me on the ground." Jeremiah shrugged, "But I would rather fight the minimal amount of you and then get the bathroom or maybe just leave pretending this was all a weird dream from drinking too much." Shortly after the last of the words left his mouth he saw the guy in front of him move his eyes from a different part of the room behind him and back to him. It was a subtle move but enough for him to slip to the side and avoid the knife the slide through the air as he rotated around dipped underneath the swinging arm of the bladed goon. The dip was enough to give him the chance to move forward and bringing his right arm up for an upward swing following the body line as his fist connected with the bottom of the man's chin. The force was greater than expected, and even his speed was so rapid that many only caught the point of contact as the body of the goon flew back through he door and knocking it off the hinges. He postured up, looked behind him and shrugged, "Sorry about that." With a rush he moved forward, jumped over the body, and dashed down the hallway. Bang. A sound he was not prepared for as he attempted to get out of the door leading out of the hallway with the consuming sounds of the music. He rushed through the crowd as the goons attempted to keep an eye on him. Jeremiah made his way at the end of the building and stumbled out of the door before tripping over the the stanchion rope and colliding with the ground hard. He attempted to get up and noticed that there was some blood where he hit the ground. He was concerned that he hit the ground too hard but noticed the red stain on his shirt. "Brandon?" He heard the voice of someone he did not expect to hear but waived her off as he rushed down the street. He continued rushing away from the club as a few people clamored as Kara attempted to follow losing him at the end of a dead end alleyway. 5. Quickly he jumped on the phone and called out... The day continued seemingly as normal after the call was completed. Jeremiah was able to get through all of his paper work and deal with several remote client meetings so to close a few deals. There were also several meetings that the Regional Vice President wanted to coordinate and determine a few steps in the action plan for the Asian Pacific Region for the company. Normally he remains invested in all of the meetings and projects but he could not let go of that single name, "Hachiman." A single person, the name that drove him all the way from the United States to Japan and after more than a year of working and studying he finally got the name and it came by chance. "Hey Kara?" He spoke out from his desk as he started to close some of his files just as she made her way around the corner into the doorway, "Yes Mr. Richardson?" She stood in the doorway with her tablet in hand, "Tell me what you know about Malachai Korolevu." Kara revealed a smile with a small laughter tucked underneath at his inquiry but soon that dissipated when it was revealed he was not responding accordingly. "My apologies. I had no idea that you were serious." Jeremiah made an expression for her to continue to which she responded by using her tablet and moving things around, "Have you been to Naruki City yet?" He simply responded with a shake of his head, "Mr. Korolevu is the owner of The Vault located in Central Naruki City." She swiped on the screen which caused a beep on Jeremiah's phone. He picked his phone up off the desk to see the notification from Kara. The screen illuminated as he pressed on the notification that shifted his screen to the front of building that looked like a bank fitted with vibrant golden neon lights at the deep of night. Jeremiah approaches the building from across the street out of his work clothes and into something more casual, at least casual in terms of how he normally operates. He checked his watch for a moment, checking the picture of Malachai for a moment and using the references that he was able to gather from his internet search several hours prior. There was little to go on as everything he was able to uncover was fluff pieces and with little to actually identify the man with, as he apparently avoided the public eye and lived by his name and identity behind his business operations. Only appearances were pictures of over ten years ago and the most recent is one someone got of him as a private investigator. The line leading into the building was a long one, and that was expected based on the amount of popularity that this location garnered. He had not considered this when he made the plan to come to the location, and honestly he hadn't developed much of a plan beyond coming to the location. The weekend had already arrived and it was the best time to get a chance to understand the environment and determine if his target was even situated in the building. So without many other options, he made his way towards the back of the line and each step feeling like miles separating him from his target. It had not bothered him at first, but it slowly became increasingly painful as he went down the line. Eventually he arrived at the back of the line, nearly down the block and a half further away from the door and through that entire time he had not seen the line move more than two people. 17 Minutes Later One more step forward as the line moved once again, but if that was a metric used to measure the progress of his evening Jeremiah was more than certain he was not going to be entering this building tonight. It was disappointing, which also means he would have to try to arrive dreadfully early to the next opening to get a chance to get in but that would bring too much attention to himself in a way that is worse than most other circumstances. "Brandon?" More than hearing his name, Jeremiah was shaken by hearing the voice of a familiar tone speaking his name. He looked to the side to see someone in a way that he would not expect, Kara his assistant, making her way up to him in an outfit that was more flattering than he would imagine. "Kaje? What are you doing here?" She smiled with a charm that was new to Jeremiah, "Well, you had asked me about The Vault and thought 'well I haven't been there in awhile' and now I am here." That smile was maintained, "But what are you doing here? I never considered you as a party boy." Her tone was held with a smooth tone of sarcasm. "I was... Hoping to find someone." Kara gave a mocking look of endearment, "Did the run in with you wife make you wish you had someone?" Jeremiah gave a scoff as he rolled his eyes, "That's not what I mean I just-" "Come on." She took his hand and pulled him out of the line, "But my spot." Kara continued forward, pulling him along side the line. As they approached the front of the building there were a few women gathering as Jeremiah was brought to them. "Hey Kaje!" One of the girls exclaim, "Wait, isn't this your boss?", one of them smirked, "More like, how is this your boss?" As she motioned towards his physique with a sly smile before another interjected, "Nah, more like how is this your boss." Her hand brought up like a height scale pointing out his shorter than average American height. He couldn't decide whether he should roll his eyes or simply walk away. "Don't worry, they aren't always so creative." "So says the assistant hope for a chance to-" "And we're off." Quickly Kara pulled Jeremiah towards the entrance as the other woman chuckled behind them. They stopped at the doorway as the bouncer stepped in front of them for a moment, and almost on cue the other girls swarmed around Jeremiah while look at the bouncer. He took a moment but then shook it off before step aside and moving the velvet rope. With a smile, "And Voilà." They made their way through the first entrance before opening the second door and being bathed in a golden glow. 6. "You have five minutes." That was the condition provided by Mr. Hirosawa for Jeremiah, "You have five minutes or I will take my business elsewhere." Jeremiah would have preferred so many other stipulations but having to get his pitch rolling and working in under five minutes with an already bothered client is less than stellar for his abilities; but it had to be done. Kara had already connected his device to the remote viewing display of the room and so with the ease of access via his phone, he pressed the screen and triggered the switch of the building. "Security is essential, be it physical or digital, as long as it protects the key ingredient to progress; integrity." That was the start of his pitch as he proceeded with the presentation as intended. 47 Minutes Later "Thank you so much, Mr. Hirosawa. Arigatō." They were both standing next to each other with smiles as Jeremiah started to bow in respect, "No, thank you Mr. Richādoson. You have done excellent work and bring honor to this place of business and to mine." With that he prepared to depart, "I look forward to a powerful relationship between our companies." "Of course sir. I will have the final write ups prepared for you personally and delivered next week." He watched as Mr. Hirosawa departed the room and made his way through the main walkway and to the elevator. Once he was certain that he had departed, Jeremiah stepped out of the door, "Benjamin!" Almost as if he was aware that he was going to be summoned, Ben stood in front of Jeremiah with a look of clear guilt. "When I brought you on as a team lead, it was to help coordinate with the team not to take charge of a project." "I apologize Mr. Richardson." "Ignoring the fact that you misinformed the client then provided a personal pitch is..." He paused as the frustration grew, "...honestly grounds for termination." "I understand. I will go clean out my cubicle." He turned to walk away as Kara approached, "Brandon." Jeremiah sighed in frustration, "Ben, you aren't fired. Just work with me here, alright?" Benjamin was clearly excited to know that he still had a job and nodded, "Yes sir!" Jeremiah brought his attention back to Kara, "Sorry about that, what is it that you need?" She hesitated for a moment, before speaking up "Your... uh... wife is in your office?" Jeremiah had to literally shake his head to catch what he just heard, "My what?" With slow sigh, "Yeah, I assumed she wasn't your wife but she charmed her way through the office and is now sitting in your office." With a sharp turn he began walking, "Did you call building security?" She nodded, "They are on the way right now. She didn't seem threatening or anything, but just being safe." They turned a corner and from the open door he could see the same woman from the elevator. With mild hesitation, he went to enter the room when Kara grabbed his arm gently, "Should you not wait until security arrives?" "I will see if I can just get her to leave." She releases her soft grip of his arm as he enters the room. "The elevator was a coincidence, but this is definitely intentional. What do you want?" Although his voice was calm in volume, the tone that he delivered certainly remained more aggressive in the delivery. Still, the woman remained calm if not poised enough to stay delighted to see him. "To talk. I need help." Jeremiah scoffed, "I came in here strictly to ask you to leave of your own accord before building security forces you out of the building. That is as far as my courtesy will go for my wife." She gave a slightly embarrassed smirk, "Yeah, not too proud of that but after trying to get a meeting with someone didn't work, it seemed easier to tell them my husband left something at home on his rush to bike to work." He shook his head, "Doesn't matter, will you leave of your own volition?" She nodded, "Of course. After you have heard me out." "You are not in a position to be making deals, I do hope you understand." "I couldn't agree more. It isn't a deal, I just simply want to speak my piece." Jeremiah paused for a moment before walking around the office towards his desk and sat in his seat, "Well you have until security arrives." He sat with a stern expression, "Excellent." She started to reach into her bag to which Jeremiah put his hand up, "Whoa there." She smirked, "Relax, just some documents." She revealed a manila folder from her bag. "I am Leana Korolevu, daughter of Malachai Korolevu, which means little to you but that stands to be a very big deal. My father is involved in illegal activities and I need help stopping him." Jeremiah shook his head, "Let me stop you there. We are a business consultation company, what you are looking for is law enforcement. Local authorities are literally designed to deal with illegal activities." "I am aware of that and I certainly gave that my best effort, but I am pretty sure that my father has enough ties to the local authorities that they didn't even give it a second glance. My father has since been distant from me and I am sure since he has an idea that I tried to speak up about him." "Okay. Assuming I go along with what you are saying. Why are you still walking around and what makes you think that we can do any better than law enforcement?" "At the end of the day, I am still daddy's little girl. That is probably the only thing that has kept me alive, but his associates are definitely losing their patience with my father's blind eye and more than anything lost their patience with me in general. I can not seem to get anyone to help me investigate them via legal or law enforcement methods but if you can help me establish a business that can take his out or even prove viable enough a threat. I can find a way to expose something on the legal side of things." Jeremiah clenched her eyes and put a few fingers to his forehead, "You want to develop a business model so that you can, through some convoluted method, expose your father's illegal operations in the hope to do what exactly?" She placed the folder on his desk, "To dismantle their global crime organization." There was pause before Jeremiah let out a soft laugh, "Wow, you are certifiably insane." He waived his hand at the door as the two guards who were on standby enter the room and stood on either side of the woman. "Fine. I just thought that a company that values integrity so much would have enough to stand up for what is right." "Just get out." The guards proceeded to take her out, "Read the file at least." With a soft shove she was out of the office and escorted out of the floor and out of his life. "Kara." She stepped into the room, "Yes?" "Can you start an order for the cafe run? I need a-" "Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte with three pumps of peppermint?" With a sigh, "Yes please. And close my door." With a nod, she made her way out of the room with the door closed behind her. 23 Minutes Later Jeremiah was moving through some paper work when the file provided by Leana came into view once more. He took it into his hand and went to toss it in the trash, but for a moment considered looking into the contents for the sake of curiosity of a mentally unstable woman. He leaned back and opened the file to find files on a few people with pictures and notes scribbled around, "Fullbringers?" In there were names of a few people, "Connor Knight... Rayzoric..." As well a few organizations apparently, one of which was highlighted, "Wilds?" He continued on another few files talking about a Doctor who has magical healing powers and other details that sound remarkably like a vampire. Finally there was a section that highlighted the man that she spoke about, "Malachai Korolevu.... Quincy? His Epitaph, is H for Hachiman..." That was the word that caught him as he repeated it, "Hachiman." Quickly he jumped on the phone and called out. "Ale? " ... "Is Kyonte with you?" ... "I may have found Hachiman." 7. With that, he pressed his finger to his ear to end the call and lifted himself from the seat of the bike and prepared to push the limit. Jeremiah pushed forward and suddenly, in a burst of force, the bike exploded with momentum leaving a thin faint trail of blue flame upon the ground as he rushed forward. He postured himself forward to assist in cutting through the air that was flowing by him in a flurry as his vision became so focused and tunneling through the environment. His tires spun with maximum velocity as the chain caught the spark of the flames and gave the faint blue glow similar to that of the small trail that follows behind his bike. Jeremiah rushed through the forest path weaving through the trees as he cut through the forest off the path maintain his speed and using his momentum to carve through some of the rough paths. It felt like a matter of moments before the horizon of the city came into sight, giving Jeremiah an idea how close he was and put him in a state of concern on how much time he was shaving off. There was the fact that he had not wanted to maintain the constant flow of his power through in such a visible manner but he was under the pressure of getting to that meeting with Hirosawa as soon as he could manage. As he got to the edge of the city the blue flames started to disperse from the bike chain and trail but his momentum maintained a decent velocity as he continued along his path. The day was still early enough as he enter the city and recognized that people had not started to flood the streets yet, since he was out before the average start of the day for most. This was the way that he preferred it to avoid any necessary traffic but also to avoid some of the stranger interactions that he has received being an American in Japan. There remained a short distance between his current position and the office as he continued to move along the street path leading towards work. He arrived quickly at the at the front lobby of the office building a hopped off his bike as he continued into the building. The woman at the front desk noticed Jeremiah walking into the building and met him with a warm smile and, "Ohayōgozaimasu." Jeremiah respectfully acknowledged the woman before making his way to the elevators and noticed that one was open but had started to close. "Hold the doors. Doa o nigitte." He hoped, with every fiber of his being that they would help him in this moment, so when he saw the hand reach out of the doors and prevent the doors from closing he let out a sigh of relief as he entered the elevator taking note of the young pacific islander female. "Arigatō. Arigatōgozaimashita." She smiled at him, in a friendly manner, "You're welcome." She nodded, "Floor?" Jeremiah glanced over at the panel and noticed that floor eight was alright illuminated, "Gold Standard." He smiled playfully, "Already headed to the same floor." She chuckled in response, "Convenient, looks like you chose the right elevator." There was a moment as attempted to compose himself, "Are you a new hire or?" "No, there is a project that needs special attention." He nodded, "Ah, a potential client." "I supposed you are one of the consultants." "Yeah, just one of many in the row of faces." The door opened up and she proceeded to step out, "Maybe your face will be the one I need looking over my assets." With that, she continued on her steps as Jeremiah remained fixed in his place confused by that last statement and caught off guard before the door started to close. He quickly pushed his bike forward which forced the doors to remain open. Jeremiah shook the interaction from his mind as he made his way towards the rest rooms where the showers were located in the back when Kara approached, "He is in the Cardinal conference room and ready for... Whatever you have set." He gave a nod, "Ben is keeping him busy but he is growing impatient." "Got it. By the way, are we expected any new clients today? Do you know if anyone was expected an appointment today?" She took a moment to look over her tablet, "Not that I know of, everyone is set for remote or field checks. Mr. Hirosawa wasn't even set to be here. Why?" He got to the door and proceeded forward, "No reason." With a quick, but complete show Jeremiah was finished and suited up from the spare that he maintains in his office. He made his way through the building and ended up at the conference room watching as Ben, one of the lead consultants, attempts to maneuver his way through a conversation. Based on what he saw, Jeremiah could tell that Ben was attempting to make an actual pitch to Mr. Hirosawa as he entered the room. "Oh, Brandon. You're here." There was a pause for a second, "Wonderful, Brandon is here!" His tone changed and it gave Jeremiah all the tell that he needed. "Sono keikaku wa shūmatsu made ni junbi ga dekite iru to iwa reta." Mr. Hirosawa was clearly annoyed as he stood up, "This is what you show me?" Immediately Jeremiah steps forward, "My apologies Mr. Hirosawa." "I am told that it will be ready before next week. When provided clarity, I am told it will done and ready for presentation before close of business for the week." Jeremiah was clearly agitated underneath but maintain his composure as he shot a sideways glance to Ben, "Ben, if you would be so kind as to help Kara. She needed some assistance with a client call." Ben, clearly embarrassed for so many reasons, leaves the room. "It appears that Ben had been provided one of the developmental plans, and I apologize for the confusion. However, I personally have the model that guarantees the growth of your business through the acquisition of Atlas Securities and their subsidiaries and for time after." Mr. Hirosawa paused for a moment and after several moments, and with a disgruntled sigh, he took a seat. "You have five minutes." 8. It was another early morning handled well after an uneventful night, and thus begins the day for Jeremiah on his way to work.... Jeremiah sat comfortably on the seat of his bike as he made is way through the main city of Karakura Town, or at least the portion of the city that stands between Karakura Park and the eastern border of the town. The sun had only recently broken over the horizon and was starting to give the day the light that it normally does and he kept his music flowing through his ears. "...Still a nutcase still a pyscho, Tellin' mama, any day I might blow up, Stayin' up late where did time go, Still ain't caught a break but I'm like so what, Will my luck change fuck if I know, If I hear another no I might throw up, I'm a nutcase I'm a pyscho I'm a pyscho..." The rhythm maintained with his peddling as he followed the path that he normally would take that was provided for the biking community since few people were walking about this early along his path and even fewer were using vehicles at this time of day. As he was approaching the edge of the town his music was interrupted by the sound of his phone ringing. He brought his right hand to his eye level to check his watch and noticed the display KAJE and brought his finger to his ear to press the call feature. "Brandon speaking. What's up Kara?" Both hands were back on the handle bars. "Just checking on how long until you show up?" Her voice held a bit of a tension in it which brought a bit of concern for Jeremiah, "Well, I just got out of Karakura and still have to cross the forest. Maybe forty-five minutes, give or take. Why? What is going on Kara?" "Kuso. Alright, if you can get here a little faster that would be great." Jeremiah shook his head a little bit before speaking again, "Kara, I need you to tell me what is going on." There was a moment of silence on the phone that lasted longer than Jeremiah was okay with, "Kaje?" Suddenly she responded, "Hirosawa is here." There was moment that took Jeremiah for a shock that he lost a moment of focus and lost a second of control, but he was able to reign it in and maintain his bike on the available path. "Landon is there? Right now?" He only recieved a simple, "Uh-huh" over the phone and he was clearly frustrated, "Why is he there? We aren't supposed to have a meeting until next week." "Yeah, that is why we were not prepared. He says that we need to have our proposal ready for his new acquisition." Annoyed, "We told him that it would be available at the end of the week for our meeting." With a sigh Kara responded, "Yeah, he assumed that meant the end of the business week. He says that his shareholders need an action plan today." "Fuck." "Yeah, exactly. So how much longer?" There was a pause as Jeremiah started to clench his jaw slightly before relaxing and releasing a deep exhale, "Twenty minutes." "Is there anything I can do?" "Yeah, have my suit ready in my locker. Ben should be there, have him put it in there and tell Landon that the presentation is ready then take him to the Cardinal conference room with water. Make sure you have blueberries and kiwi in the tank." With that, he pressed his finger to his ear to end the call and lifted himself from the seat of the bike and prepared to push the limit... 10. Sequence after sequence Jeremiah faced off against his own shadow with relentless speed and unfaltering force, maintaining his momentum and aggression with each passing moment. His footwork became more concentrated matching the pattern of his body moving around the punches as they were sent in his direction and the fluid nature of his arms driving along the body line against the shadow. They were matched evenly, as one would expect, although the shadow displayed a small hint of advantage over Jeremiah but in a way so minor that few would even stand to identify the discrepancies. This continued until a sudden fragment of light breaking over the horizon shot through the trees and struck the shadow, piercing his body and diluting his form. The sun had finally begun to rise and that meant that it was time to get ready for work. His focus came back from the sunrise in the horizon upon the shadow as the final fragments had finally dispersed leaving Jeremiah on his own as a pair of joggers broke through his vision from the nearby trail. With an exhausted exhale, he made his way to the base of the tree and grabbed his water battle. He took a few sips before heading back to his bag with the rest of his stuff. There he started removing the wraps, "...Fill 'em with the venom and eliminate 'em, Other words, I Minute Maid 'em, I don't wanna hurt 'em, but I did 'em in a fit of rage, I'm murderin' again, nobody will evade him, Finna kill 'em and dump all the fuckin' bodies in the lake, Obliterating everything, incinerate and renegade 'em, And I make anybody who want it with the pen afraid, But don't nobody want it, but they're gonna get it anyway..." He had carefully rolled the wraps up and tucked them into his bag before making sure to seal the zipper, to avoid another trail of fabric behind him, and proceeded to remove his sweater as well, "...'Cause I'm beginnin' to feel like I'm mentally ill, I'm Atilla, kill or be killed, I'm a killer bee, the vanilla gorilla, You're bringin' the killer within me out of me, You don't want to be the enemy of the demon who went in me, Or being the recievin' end of me, what stupidity it'd be..." His pace maintained with the verse as he tight his jacket to his bag and through it on his shoulders and proceed to unlock his bike from the rack. A verse with speed and he was able to keep up even after performing an intense workout and avoiding the needed to take additional breaths, "...Every bit of me is the epitome of a spitter, When I'm in the vicinity, motherfucker, you better duck, Or you finna be dead the minute you run into me, A hunnid percent of you is a fifth of a percent of me, I'm 'bout to fuckin' finish you bitch..." Everything was properly set on his bike and he was prepared when he pulled the bike from the rack and set it on the pathway for him to ride out of the park. It was another early morning handled well after an uneventful night, and thus begins the day for Jeremiah on his way to work. "...I'm unfadable, You wanna battle, I'm available, I'm blowin' up like an inflatable, I'm undebatable, I'm unavoidable, I'm unevadable, I'm on the toilet bowl, I got a trailer full of money and I'm paid in full..." 11. Exhale. With the first breath pushed out from his lips Jeremiah sends out a quick straight punch with his leading left hand in the orthodox stance, his momentum carrying with an intense and blitzing speed. He brought his left hand back in front of him maintaining the stance firmly but keeping light on his feet. Quickly, Jeremiah recoiled with his left arm and delivered another straight punch towards the tree but stopping just short of the actual bark, "One." His arm came back and using that momentum he shifted his feet to bring his rear right hand forward and across his body, "Two." Once more he brought the last punch back to his body and settled back in his stance. Settled, he followed again with the first left jab followed by the second right cross as the form has been with consistency as the left hand continued with the sequence of the left hook, "Three." The pattern continued as he reset himself back to the neutral state of the orthodox stance, eyes fixed on the tree picturing an individual in front of him as he continued the method once more. The goal was to maintain the focus as if there was an opponent in front of him, which is the key to performing Shadow Boxing. The leading jab, the cross from the rear, the left hook, followed by the sequential right arm "Four." He halted on his strikes for a moment and lowered his posture with quick movements allowing himself to step back and forth or side to side making sure to maintain his effective footwork. The movement was fluid with each of his bobbing motions, the weaving flow, and the slipping techniques ensuring that his effective maneuvering skills. Constantly he shifted his position, moving around the immediate area and shuffling around the tree to harness his latent power. After a few moments of the constant shifting, Jeremiah started to integrate his punches into the movement and this time he altered the punches between various combinations. Not only was his changing the combinations with every punch, he was also changing his levels from between higher strikes towards the head and body shots. After a devastating right uppercut in a sequence he finally stalled his training for a moment and allow his breathing to catch up. He took a moment to make his way to finish the rest of his water and head to refill the bottle. "...No, this ain't a diss to the game, it's a gas to the flame, Nowadays, everybody sound the same, shit's lame, Like a moth to the flame, I'ma reel 'em in and kill 'em, Know you feelin' lyricism when I'm spillin' it, I'm feelin' myself..." Once he refilled the bottle he continued to make his way back to the clearing, making sure to get another sip of his water. "...But you don't wanna hear me spit the facts, Your shit is ass like a tailbone, And you're trapped in your cell phone, On my chicken scratch, or my self-loathe, I don't want to fuckin' listen to you spit your rap someone else wrote, Used to get beat up by the big kids, Used to let the big kids steal my big wheel, And I wouldn't do shit but just sit still, Now money's not a big deal, I'm rich, I wipe my ass with six mil'..." He leaned over to set the bottle at the base of the tree with the exposed roots and as he stood up he turned around and gave a moment for a controlled breath looking over at the shadow silhouette of himself standing across from him in the orthodox stance that he practiced in so much. Slowly he adjusted himself as he made his way towards the shadow figure, "...They can hate but I never allow it to get to me, Like I've got an arc reactor blocking it and technically, I'm more like the suit that Shuri made for T'challa, That can absorb all of the negativity till it’s bottled..." Once he was perhaps less than a meter from the shadow his hands came up and his feet shifted towards the appropriate stance mirroring the shadow, "...And let it all build up inside until every hit has been duplicated, Then redistribute it to energy I can use to make the music, I refuse to let you win and I will never quit, Like I'm the projection of your worst dream from the scarlet witch, bitch..." He took the step forward and let go a jab as a testing punch and watched as the shadow dodged the first one and quickly he continued with a second jab. Still the shadow was prepared to dodge once more but as a mix Jeremiah moved his torso preparing the right cross. His eyes caught the soft moment that the shadow prepared to dodge to which Jeremiah responded to swing his left arm instead with a hook. The shadow responded with its own movement to avoid the hook and shot for a body shot. Jeremiah kept his form low and stepped back which gave the shadow the chance to lean in for a follow up. Jeremiah shifted his step towards the inside of the shadow to get in closer and shrink the reach as he went to match the high head hook with his own low body shot. It was a solid contact as they both stepped away from one another. Each one postured up for a moment before dropping back into stance at the same time and stepped in once more for another sequence. 12. The sun remained far below the horizon of the distance with few taking the chance to be out in the world, but among the select that decided to about was a specific man going for his early morning run. Jeremiah Brandon Richardson (the Third), a name acquired by a father that was not his, who remained an American in a town only because of a job working for a father that he recently discovered to be his. Black shorts with white compression shorts underneath, black running shoes built for the resistance to move forward with momentum, and a black sweater covering his white compression shirt. His house was not too far from the park, which made the ride to this location not too complicated, although his job was located about 15 miles east in Kagamino City. Karakura was less populated than the actual region of Kagamino and it allowed him to enjoy the quite living of a residential district, despite his coworkers best efforts to convince him to settle around work or even further west to Naruki City. The best part about getting up early meant that he had plenty of time to get to the park and start working out before having to make it to his commute to work. Headphones placed firmly in his ear, Jeremiah kept his focus forward with each step as he began to mouth the lyrics of the sound; "...I'm counting my bullets, I'm loading my clips, I'm writing down names, I'm making a list, I'm checking it twice and I'm getting 'em hit, The real ones been dying, The fake ones is lit, The game is off balance, I'm back on my shit, The Bentley is dirty, My sneakers is dirty..." Slowly he started to slowly down as he approached the location where his bike was locked up and got to his bag. He reached into his bag and pulled out his white wraps. Jeremiah slipped his thumb through the small loop and began to wrap the fabric around his hand, ensuring to get around his knuckles and wrist. "...I just win again, then win again like Wimbledon, I serve, Yeah, that's him again, the sound that engine in is like a bird, You see fireworks and Corvette tire skrrt the boulevard, I know how you work, I know just who you are..." He pulled taught on the fabric before securing it on the latch on his wrist and adjusted. Once it was set he took the remain fabric and began working on his left hand, "...And I'm gon' shine like I'm supposed to antisocial, extrovert, And excellent mean the extra work, And absent-ness what the fuck you heard, And pessimists never struck my nerve, And that's a riff, gonna plead this case, The reason my power's here on earth, Salute the truth, when the prophet say..." His left hand was tightly around, slightly more than his right, and he worked to correct that a bit before latching it firmly and sealing up his bag. With momentum in his step, almost rhythmically, Jeremiah made his way to a small patch of the grass that could be considered a clearing that had a decently sized tree otherwise. He made his approach of the tree with the beat moving his steps, "...The more that I try, the more that I want, The more that I grind, the more that I shine, The more that I stride, the more that I stunt, The more that I cheat, the more that she leaves, The more that she cry, the harder to trust, The more that I lie, the more that she dies, Somehow I realize I'm harder to love..." His stance was set and his hands in front of him with the lowered posture. Eyes were locked on the part of the tree that were considered his eye line and slowly released his breath. A two and a half seconds passed before he allow his lungs to absorb air once more. WC - 660
  13. It was a pleasant situation to provide a small memento for Yuki of their nice little adventure when she placed the jewelry on her wing, presumably as a storage of sorts since she could not wear either of the items and certainly had no pockets to store them in. They reached an end of their day and a familiar presence made it clear that their day would have changed quite dramatically but there was much for the doctor to take care of and could not continue his break from work for any longer. He gave a tender smile, "We will definitely see each other and you will always have a way to find me when you need to." He turned to head towards the clinic and when he had reached just far enough for his assurance, the white raven appeared on his shoulder. He reached into his bag and grabbed a small piece of a sugar cracker and passed it to his friend. "You mind seeing what they might be up to?" With a nod the raven was off into the air and held clear sight of Yuki as she opened the gate headed home. "She made it away safely." However, the Raven caught a glimpse of a Soul Reaper who had not been alone. It was clear that they had been following the trail of Yuki and Hinode but his curiosity was what drew them to their path to begin with. Of course the presence of Yuki would have been a marker to go on and was his initial consideration and thus believed it would have been best to send Yuki back home, for the time being. There was the option that the presence that originally gathered at their location under the bridge was a tempting hunt for them but his concern was that they were focused on him. He had not been one to cause trouble for the Soul Reapers, outside of simply existing and technically his few encounters healing individuals considered criminals of the Soul Society. PanZer clinic would turn no one away and all disputes are suspended within the walls. Despite that, they made no effort to make their path towards his direction or even hint at their interest in him. With a smile he continued on his path as the Raven shifted its position in the air before returning to smoke. "See you soon Yuki."
  14. Hinode would listen to the question by Yuki, confirming if he was sure in his decision and honestly it was not a bother of any kind for him to be able to spend some more money on a new friend. He wasn't rich by any means but he was far from strapped for cash and this would be a generous thing to do. His response would simply be a nod and an approving smile so that she knew it would be okay to grab whatever it is that she wanted to. Meanwhile, he would focus his efforts on gathering a few ingredients of his own that would be nice to add to his collection of treats to keep at his place of work. He was less focused on the vegetables since he had access to a garden at both his own location and when he went to visit his friend, so his goal was mostly some fruit and potentially some other decent goods. In the midst of the experience of the market, Yuki brought a small bracelet with a bear charm on it to the attention of Hinode. He was prepared to answer but just as soon as she arrived Yuki departed from his side and went into the crowd. Although it would seem impossible with her size, the crowd of people and the height challenge of the doctor being lower than some of the people it caused a bit of a challenge but he was sure that she would not get into too much trouble but to be safe there would be a white raven in the sky flying around with a few black crows roaming around. Eventually Yoake found the booth he was most excited to come across and laid eyes on the honey booth and smiled so excitedly. He made no hesitation as he purchased an apple flavored honey stick bundle. He separated a single one from the bundle before placing the rest in his bag and happily broke into the stick with his teeth and proceeded to enjoy the apple flavored delightful treat as Yuki re approached. She held the original item that he recalled, the bear charm bracelet, as well as an additional necklace and he found it precious that her choice was simple jewelry as he looked at them both. "Of course Yuki, you can have them." He took them both from her hand as he looked up at the white Raven in the sky as it began to descend to a region of the market and a few seconds passed before it took off back into the air. "Come on." Hinode took off in the direction where the items were grabbed from making his way through the crowd with ease and giving a slow pace so that Yuki could keep up until they reached a booth. "Hey, I grabbed these to see if my friend would like them and I would like to purchase them." The sweet female gave a clear sign of confusion and possibly because she hadn't recognized him as someone who came to her booth and wondered if he had honestly been sneaking around to take the item but there could be the fact that she remembers the items and the fact that they randomly drifted from her booth. The Doctor pulled out a decent amount of cash and placed it on the counter, "This is more than it costs." She interjected but he smiled and shook his head, "This is exactly how much it costs." He turned and walked away and for a second, away from the eyes of any person, he held both items in his right hand as his unique wooden ring appeared to move slightly as it slowly ingrained itself with the material of the charms. This was all as he approached Yuki with a smile a short distance away from the booth. "Here you go Yuki." He held both of the items out, one in each hand, and away for her hand to drop it in or for her to grab them herself. A few more crows began to appear on various buildings in the near distance and a few more were flying in the air. They were drawing close but they were going to fall short of their objective. "Sadly I must get back to the clinic Yuki, but I had a wonderful time." With a somber expression he kept his energy positive, "I do hope to see you again. Be safe." With any final farewells, the doctor would make his way back to the PanZer Clinic. WC: 765
